Milan Fashion Week: The Shows

This year, the shows at Milan Fashion Week were absolutely stunning!

From carnival rides to age-old architecture... these designers used it all, and the end result was something that even photos could not do justice. Some collections went for the minimal look, while others (like Philipp Plein honey!) went ALL OUT, creating stage-worthy productions that shocked audiences with celebrity cameos, musical performances, and more. I was fortunate enough to have a great view of the following shows, so take a look at Milan Fashion Week's runway shows through my eyes. Keep scrolling for my most jaw-dropping runway moment!

LEO STUDIO DESIGN

With a colorful & fun print play of comic motifs and metallic accents, this line made me feel like the juvenile styles that I loved from my childhood were still okay to wear! Cartoon prints and gold-guilded sneakers lined the room while bananas & burlap decorated the minimalistic scene. The trending #LEOBANANAS from the invitation finally made sense when I saw the fruit theme played throughout the colorful Spring/Summer collection.

Leo Studio Design certainly has a flare for the unique, and I can always get behind a fun collection like this when styled for everyday wear. The set here was certainly plain, but I think that was best for such a bold line that might have competed with a more ornate set.

I'm also obsessed with the fun inspiration for this collection (shared on Leo Studio Design Instagram)

L72

Designer Lee Wood decided to present his Spring/Summer collection a bit differently this season. Instead of a full runway show, viewers were treated to an up-close-and-personal look at key pieces from the L72 line. With style influencers, photographers, and editors surrounding them, models walked through the crowds in an Italian hotel lobby to allow each of us to touch, snap, and appreciate each detail.
